Based on fundings from the European Research Council the group "Neuropsychology of Action" emerged from the Section Neuropsychology. It is dedicated to investigations of human action control. Our work combines neuropsychological examinations of brain-damaged patients with state-of-the-art measurement and investigation techniques (functional neuroimaging; transcranial magnetic stimulation; motion and eye tracking systems).
All projects are related to three neuropsychological disorders: optic ataxia, visual agnosia, and apraxia. Investigating the occurrence, behavioural consequences, and varieties of these disorders. We hope to advance our models of human action control on the one hand and contribute to therapeutic approaches on the other han.
