Hertie-Scholarships

Hertie Foundation awards three scholarships for doctoral students of the Hertie Institute of Clinical Brain research (HIH) for earning their PhD at the Graduate School of Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience

The Hertie Foundation has awarded their prestigious PhD-scholarships to Lena Burbulla (to work in the Dept. of Neurodegeneration, HIH), Jasmin Hefendehl (Dept. of Cellular Neurology, HIH, and Interfaculty Institute of Biochemistry) and Henning Beck (Laboratory of Neuroregeneration and Repair, HIH, and Interfaculty Institute of Cell Biology). The scholarships run for three years.

Of the 24 applicants in this 2008 award procedure, 6 were invited to Tübingen to present their future doctoral project. The local selection committee finally chose together with the Hertie Foundation in Frankfurt the above mentioned candidates as the first PhD students receiving this prestigious funding.
