Independent Research Groups

There are two independent research group at the HIH. One of their research focus is the molecular and cellular mechanisms of axon regeneration and neuronal differentiation during repair after damage to the central nervous system (CNS). A second research focus comprises the molecular, synaptic and cellular processes in the amygdala and associated brain regions that are involved in the control of fear and the storage of fear memory.
