Section for Clinical Neurogenetics

Open positions

MSc / BSc students

The Section of Clinical Neurogenetics (PI: Ludger Schöls) investigates genetic causes and related pathomechanisms in cerebellar ataxias and motorneuron diseases (hereditary spastic paraplegia).
We are specifically looking for candidates interested in neuronal cell culture models derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC).

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, team-oriented student, capable of independent working with experience in neuronal cell culture techniques, iPSC handling and molecular biology techniques.

We offer a highly stimulating environment, close connections of clinical and basic research, state-of-the-art laboratories and comprehensive training in the above mentioned techniques.

For further information please contact Dr. Stefan Hauser (stefan.hauserdzne.de) or Prof. Dr. Ludger Schöls (ludger.schoelsuni-tuebingen.de). Together we can consider which project fits your independent interest and time schedule.
