How does it feel to grow old? And what is dementia? These are the questions that Prof. Dr. Mathias Jucker, Dr. Deborah Kronenberg-Versteeg and further members will pursue at this year´s Kinder-Uni-Forschertag on July 6, 2019. Together with the young participants, Jucker and his team will take a look through the microscope to see what happens in the brain of Alzheimer's patients. They will also show how a mobile phone camera can be turned into a microscope that can also be used for further research at home. Using a simple age simulator, the little hobby researchers can also test what it feels like when you get older and your perception diminishes.
