In the current issue of our newsletter, we report on: 1) the research of PD Dr. Justus Marquetand and his pioneering muscle activity measurements using quantum sensors. 2) the new department “N3: Neurorehabilitation / Neuroprosthetics / Neurotechnology.” And 3) an interview with Dr. Isabell Wochner, the new independent research group leader, about physics-based assistance systems that predict movements in real time.
To strengthen networking among our doctoral students, a PhD retreat was held at HIH; more on this on page 4. Another highlight this spring was the decision on the clusters of excellence as part of the Excellence Strategy - researchers from the HIH are also involved in the newly approved clusters of excellence at the university
