The Hertie Center for Neurology (HZN) has a new Chairman of the Board. Prof. Holger Lerche is succeeding Prof. Thomas Gasser, who shaped the position with great dedication for many years.

Prof. Lerche is an internationally renowned neurologist and epilepsy researcher. He heads the Department of Neurology and Epileptology at the HZN and stands for a strong connection between basic research, clinical application, and translational concepts, which have characterized the HZN since its founding.

We would like to thank Prof. Gasser for his outstanding service and wish Prof. Lerche a successful start in his new role!
