Doctoral scholarships from the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in Medicine

Congratulations to Timo Frauhammer, Florian Mailänder, and Hannah Oßwald on receiving the doctoral scholarship from the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in Medicine (IPM).

Timo Frauhammer will be supervised by Prof. Katharina Feil and PD Dr. Annerose Mengel from the Department of “Neurology with Neurovascular Medicine” under Prof. Ulf Ziemann. He will also be supported by a collaboration with Michaela Hardt.

Florian Mailänder will focus on the topic of "B-cell repertoire analysis in multiple sclerosis patients: therapeutic effects and disease prediction using artificial intelligence (AI)" and will be supported by Prof. Markus Kowarik and Nicole Vasilenko from the Department of “Neurology with Neurovascular Medicine”.

Hannah Oßwald is working on the topic of "Functional and therapeutic studies in hiPSC neurons from patients with CACNA1E-associated developmental and epileptic encephalopathy" and is supervised by Prof. Holger Lerche and Dr. Niklas Schwarz from the Department of “Neurology and Epileptology”.

All three were able to convince the reviewers and will now receive the IPM doctoral scholarship from April 2025 to March 2026.
