One item on the program was a guided tour of the HIH laboratories:
Tour 1 “Exploring effective ways to do non-invasive brain stimulation, from bench to bedside” by Dr. Pedro Gordon & Dr. Dania Humaidan from the Department of “Neurology with Neurovascular Medicine” (Prof. Ziemann)
Tour 2 “The brain organoid lab - advanced iPSC-derived models in action” by the research group leaders Dr. Stefan Hauser & Dr. Deborah Kronenberg-Versteeg

This was followed by the presentation of the “HIH Paper of the Year Award”. The award recognizes the best scientific publication of the previous year from the HIH and went to Dr. Antonino Greco from the “Neuronal Dynamics and Magnetoencephalography” department of Prof. Markus Siegel for his publication “Predictive learning shapes the representational geometry of the human brain” in the journal Nature Communications.

As the sun came out, numerous employees gathered in front of the DZNE. After the award ceremony, two food trucks and refreshing drinks lured for a cozy get-together.
