Prof. Lena Burbulla from the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) in Munich will give a lecture on “Dopamine oxidation and impaired sequestration in Parkinson's disease pathology.” The lecture will take place in the conference room of the DZNE in Tübingen, Otfried-Müller-Straße 23.
Prof. Lena Burbulla's group is interested in defining key molecular pathways in the pathogenesis of neurodegeneration with a goal of identifying specific targets for therapeutic intervention. In particular, they focus on the second most common neurodegenerative disorder Parkinson’s disease (PD) and more rare neurological disorders such as those in the “Neurodegeneration with Brain Iron Accumulation” (NBIA) family.
